Job Description

Senior SailPoint Developer
Location: Spring, TX

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior SailPoint Developer to design, develop, implement, and support Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solutions using the SailPoint platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise with SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) and/or SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC), identity lifecycle management, provisioning workflows, application integrations, and IAM governance.

The candidate should be comfortable leading technical integrations, troubleshooting complex IAM issues, collaborating with application and security teams, and mentoring junior developers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, configure, and implement SailPoint IdentityIQ and/or Identity Security Cloud solutions.
  • Configure and customize SailPoint components including:
    • Provisioning
    • Access Certifications
    • Access Requests
    • Role Management
    • Lifecycle Events
    • Identity Profiles
    • Workflow Development
  • Develop and maintain integrations and connectors with enterprise applications such as:
    • Active Directory
    • Microsoft Azure AD / Entra ID
    • LDAP
    • SAP
    • Oracle
    • ServiceNow
    • Workday / SuccessFactors and other HR systems
  • Develop and maintain custom SailPoint rules, workflows, forms, reports, and identity profiles.
  • Perform Java/J2EE-based SailPoint customizations and integrate REST/SOAP APIs and web services.
  • Design and implement automated Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) lifecycle processes.
  • Implement automated user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access changes.
  • Support access certification campaigns and Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls.
  • Perform application onboarding and connector development.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, security teams, application owners, and infrastructure teams to gather requirements and deliver IAM solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, deployment, and release management.
  • Lead technical integrations and provide guidance or mentoring to junior SailPoint developers.
  • Ensure IAM solutions comply with security standards, audit requirements, governance policies, and organizational controls.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6–10+ years of overall IT experience with at least 3–5+ years of hands-on SailPoint development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) and/or SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC).
  • Strong experience with:
    • Java / J2EE
    • BeanShell scripting
    • XML
    • REST APIs
    • SOAP / Web Services
    • SQL
  • Experience developing SailPoint workflows, rules, forms, reports, and lifecycle processes.
  • Experience with application onboarding and SailPoint connector development.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Active Directory
    • Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID
    • LDAP
    • SSO technologies
  • Understanding of RBAC, ABAC, Identity Governance, Access Governance, and IAM best practices.
  • Experience implementing identity lifecycle management and automated provisioning/deprovisioning.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SailPoint Certified IdentityIQ Engineer or SailPoint Certified Professional certification.
  • Experience with cloud-based identity and access management platforms.
  • Experience integrating SailPoint with ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of CyberArk, Okta, Ping Identity, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Experience working in regulated environments with audit and compliance requirements.
  • Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, Agile, and automated deployment practices.
  • Experience leading SailPoint integrations or mentoring junior developers.
