material flow / production simulation - Remote

Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on experience using WITNESS for material flow / production simulation on an automotive manufacturing project.
The requirement is for a long-term remote contract (18+ months), supporting a German engineering team. 

Experience within the automotive sector would be highly preferred.

Strong hands-on experience with WITNESS (essential)
Material flow / production simulation
Automotive manufacturing experience
Available to work remotely

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, build, and maintain material flow and production simulation models using WITNESS.
• Analyse manufacturing processes, production flows, capacity, bottlenecks, and resource utilisation.
• Simulate and evaluate different production scenarios and process improvements.
• Support optimisation of material flow, production layouts, logistics, and manufacturing processes.
• Interpret simulation results and provide recommendations to engineering stakeholders.
• Work closely with the German engineering team to understand requirements and deliver simulation solutions.
• Prepare simulation models, analysis, documentation, and reports.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and manufacturing optimisation activities.
