Systems Architect - Pega PRPC

Location: Brookfield, Wisconsin (Onsite)

Role Overview

The Pegasystem System Architect (SA) is responsible for designing and building technically complex frameworks to support application development. This role involves mentoring application developers on best practices and researching new technologies to provide recommendations. The SA will review business projects for technical impact, provide project estimates, and have responsibilities across DevOps and Agile areas, including release and source code management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of application frameworks, including ongoing development, support, and maintenance of multiple components such as thick-client, web, services, enterprise application integration, and batch.
  • Provide cross-functional support for performance issues and application errors, helping to determine the root cause of issues.
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert, assisting in the development of architectural designs and providing guidance on the use of frameworks and technology.
  • Support the DevOps release management process in an agile environment and assist with all aspects of release management.
  • Serve as a focal point for cross-functional items, providing expertise on agile methodologies and identifying needs to ensure agile project delivery.
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities with team members, mentor others, coordinate release planning, and execute resource planning processes.
  • Balance speed to market, product quality, and cost in the design and implementation of technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT colleagues and business partners in the design and implementation of technical solutions.
Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree.

Experience: 6-9+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years of application development in a PRPC/Pega Infinity environment, and 2+ years working with and coordinating offshore development.

Technical Skills: Deep foundation in Pegasystem Technologies.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in MN, Denver, TX, or Atlanta hub locations.
