Fund Manager - Promoter Investments
Reporting To Founder
Job Summary
The Fund Manager will be responsible for managing the Promoter's investment portfolio across listed and unlisted equities, mutual funds, fixed income instruments, alternative investments, venture capital/private equity funds, and strategic investments. The role will work closely with the Promoter to formulate investment strategies, preserve capital, generate superior risk-adjusted returns, and identify long-term wealth creation opportunities. The individual will also support treasury optimization, evaluate acquisition and investment opportunities, and coordinate with external investment advisors, bankers, and fund managers.
Key Responsibilities:-
Investment Strategy
Develop and execute investment strategies aligned with the Promoter's long-term wealth creation objectives.Manage a diversified investment portfolio across multiple asset classes.Continuously monitor portfolio performance and recommend rebalancing investment opportunities in listed equities, debt instruments, mutual funds, AIFs, PMS, private equity, venture capital, and real strategic investments aligned with the Group's business objectives.
Research & Analysis
Conduct detailed financial, industry, and macroeconomic research.
Perform company valuation using DCF, Comparable Company Analysis, and Transaction Multiples.
Assess sector trends, emerging industries, and investment themes.
Monitor domestic and global financial markets and economic developments.
Prepare investment notes and recommendations for the Promoter.
Portfolio & Risk Management
Track portfolio performance against benchmarks and return objectives.
Monitor liquidity, concentration, and market risks.
Recommend hedging and risk mitigation strategies where appropriate.
Ensure optimal asset allocation based on changing market conditions.Review investment performance periodically and present actionable insights
Strategic Invetments
Evaluate mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic equity investments.
Conduct commercial and financial due diligence.
Coordinate with investment bankers, consultants, legal advisors, and tax experts.
Participate in negotiations for strategic investments and exits.
Governance & Stakeholder Management
Prepare quarterly investment reports and dashboards for the Promoter.
Ensure compliance with applicable SEBI regulations, Companies Act, FEMA, and internal governance policies.
Maintain strong relationships with investment banks, fund houses, brokers, wealth managers, family offices, and institutional investors.
Coordinate with internal finance, taxation, legal, and secretarial teams.
Qualifications:-
MBA (Finance), CA, CFA, or equivalent -18 years of experience in investment management, corporate treasury, family office, private equity, venture capital, or asset management.Experience managing high-value investment portfolios for promoters, business owners, or UHNW families is highly preferred.
