Job Description
*** Security Clearance Required: A Final DoD Top Secret Clearance***
This position does not provide a telework option. Candidate must be willing to work on-site in Patuxent River, MD.
CRL provides a signing bonus and potential relocation assistance for this position.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support the execution of advanced development research and development (R&D) programs. Work with customers to develop new capabilities, define gaps, derive requirements, develop project task descriptions, specifications, integrated roadmaps, and detailed schedules. Support and coordinate technical reviews, data analysis and reports, and monitor and report team and contract statexecution. Support the development of acquisition and technical documentation. Serve as the avionics systems engineering, sensor tracking, data fusion and fire control focal point for coordination of technical project status and task execution throughout the design, engineering, integration, test and program execution process. Analyze contractor proposals as permitted by law and regulation. Develop, execute, monitor and report status on several assigned project task efforts including analysis of test data.
Serve as the systems engineer for team project technical execution, coordination, risk management and communication of concerns and issues with program management, and technical leadership. Coordinate functions between government and contractor project leads and engineers along with the operational subject matter experts, warfighters, and military leaders involved in program planning and execution.
Support and provide insight to determine the effectiveness of project execution and recommend modifications to task processes for future project activities or design reviews. Work with Project Management and Task Lead(s) to develop out year planning for future capabilities, and provide input to roadmaps for analysis, risk reduction, development and integration of advanced capabilities.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Systems, Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.
Required Experience: Candidate must have at least ten (10) years of experience in Avionics Systems and/or Sensor Systems Engineering, and Aviation Systems engineering and requirements development processes.
Allowable Experience/Education Substitutions: Experience cannot be substituted for education.
Desired Experience:
Security Clearance Required: A Final DoD Top Secret Clearance.
Estimated Travel: 20-30%

- Candidate should have experience with Microsoft Project or similar resource scheduling tools.
- Candidate should have demonstrated good oral and written communication skills.
- Candidate should have experience coordinating operations across multiple organizational boundaries. Candidate should have experience working in a dynamic, schedule constrained and complex security environments.
