Role Overview
This role is for an Open Banking Channel API Developer. The position involves designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices. The focus will be on enterprise API platforms that expose customer, account, transaction, and business services, as well as contributing to microservices and cloud modernization projects aimed at enhancing scalability, security, and performance.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java/J2EE and Spring Boot.
- Build and support integrations between internal systems, databases, and third-party services.
- Perform API testing, troubleshooting, code reviews, and production support to ensure reliability and performance.
- Work on system integration initiatives connecting applications, partner platforms, and third-party APIs.
- Collaborate within an Agile API development team alongside backend developers, architects, QA engineers, and DevOps resources.
- Engage with cross-functional teams for API design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Interface with API Technical Leads and Solution Architects for design reviews and technical guidance.
- Work with Product Owners and Business Analysts on API requirements, priorities, and backlog management.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot.
- Understanding of APIs, the OAuth 2 authorization framework, and gateway technologies.
- Knowledge of monitoring and capacity management concepts.
Professional Skills:
- Ability to think strategically and execute plans effectively.
- Developed communication and relationship management skills.
- Capability to interface with both development and infrastructure teams to support end-to-end transaction flow resiliency.
