Job Description


Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a business investing heavily in its engineering function?


We're recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to support a highly automated operation, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdowns and continuous improvement activities across a wide range of automated equipment.



The Role


Reporting into the Engineering Team, you'll be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime across a busy automated operation.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)
  • Reactive electrical and mechanical fault finding
  • Diagnosing faults using electrical drawings and test equipment
  • Working on motors, drives, sensors and control systems
  • PLC fault finding and basic interrogation
  • Supporting continuous improvement projects
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records
  • Working safely in line with company procedures and engineering standards


Following an initial training period on days (approximately 4-8 weeks), you'll move onto a4 on 4 off shift pattern.


About You


We're keen to speak with electrically or mechanically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers from manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, automation, warehousing or industrial environments.


You'll ideally have experience with:

  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding
  • Planned and reactive maintenance
  • Conveyors and automated machinery
  • Three-phase motors and drives
  • Inverters and sensors
  • Pneumatics and hydraulics
  • PLC fault finding (Siemens, Allen Bradley or similar advantageous)
  • Reading electrical and mechanical drawings

Qualifications


Ideally you'll hold one of the following:

  • NVQ Level 3 Engineering Maintenance
  • City & Guilds
  • Time-served Apprenticeship
  • HNC/HND (desirable)


Equivalent electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications will also be considered.
