Data Reliability Engineer - 13+ years

Responsibilities: -

• Support a range of Snowflake DBA-related requests, including virtual warehouse configuration changes, warehouse tagging logic implementation, schema and database creation, role setup, authentication configuration, and platform governance feature enablement.
• Develop data engineering ELT pipelines using SQL and dbt-based technologies to support analytics and AI-related data processing use cases.
• Design, develop, and integrate a Snowflake RBAC architecture using Snowflake database roles.
• Participate in the Data Reliability Engineering on-call rotation, providing tier-1 support for affiliation data engineering pipelines, including weekend coverage as needed.
• Develop Snowflake Streamlit applications to automate DBA-related tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Orchestrate ELT pipelines using Apache Airflow to schedule, monitor, and manage workflow execution.
• Develop AI capabilities using AWS AI services such as Textract and Snowflake Cortex AI functions.

Skills: -

Mandatory skills

• Expert-level understanding of Snowflake architecture and core warehousing concepts, including virtual warehouses, databases, schemas, roles, data engineering workflows, and data modeling principles.
• Strong SQL development skills, including experience building and optimizing complex queries and stored procedures using SQL and/or Python, preferably within Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing ELT/ETL patterns, data pipelines, and reusable data transformation logic for reliable and scalable data processing.
• Experience building CI/CD automation for data platform or infrastructure workflows using tools such as Terraform, CircleCI, GitLab CI/CD, or similar technologies.

Good to have skills: -

• Previous experience working with Airflow.
• Previous experience developing Snowflake Streamlit applications.
• Previous experience working with dbt.
