Western Engineering Co Inc is seeking dependable and skilled CDL drivers to join our team. As a leader in the asphalt industry, we prioritize safety, reliability, and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Transport asphalt and aggregate from plants to job sites in a timely and safe manner
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and schedule, including mileage and fuel usage
- Communicate effectively with project managers and team members regarding delivery schedules and site conditions
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and safety regulations during transportation
- Assist in loading and unloading of materials and equipment as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients when interacting on job sites
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately to the supervisor.
- Valid CDL Class A or B driver's license with a clean driving record
- Preferred 2 years of driving experience, but we are willing to train the right person
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy loads and long hours
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing work conditions.
- Successfully pass a Pre-Employment DOT drug screening
- Willing to travel as needed for construction projects.
