Junior Cloud Software Engineer [$263k/yr+] TS/SCI-FS Poly with Security Clearance

Summary: • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure utilizing AWS, Terraform, and Helm. • Develop web applications and services using Java and React. • Configure and manage scalable messaging platforms using ActiveMQ and Kafka. • Orchestrate containerized workloads across Docker and Kubernetes environments. • Implement continuous monitoring, alerting, and logging with Prometheus and Grafana on Linux platforms.

Qualifications && Compensation: • Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience • Years of experience: 5+ years • Total Compensation: $263k+ yearly (tentative) Job Description: • Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure following governance requirements and industry best practices. • Develop reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules and templates using Terraform, Helm, and CloudFormation. • Develop and support application software using Java and modern React frameworks. • Deploy and manage containerized platform workloads using Docker and Kubernetes. • Maintain messaging pipelines and deployment strategies for high-availability systems using Kafka and ActiveMQ. • Monitor infrastructure health and performance with Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch, responding to alerts and performing root-cause analysis. • Provide strategies for failure recovery, high availability, backup integrity, and cloud cost optimization. • Manage key management systems, certificates, and secrets using KMS and related tools. • Troubleshoot networking, security, and OS-level issues in enterprise Linux environments. • Author and maintain architectural diagrams, operational runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
