AWS Platform Engineer - CloudFormation

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to join a growing engineering team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable AWS platform infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone with strong platform engineering expertise, hands-on AWS experience, and solid Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills using CloudFormation.

Please Note: Active SC is required.

Note - We can provide expense for travel and accommodation upto 3 days per week to the candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable AWS platform solutions.
• Manage, monitor, and optimise cloud infrastructure and platform services.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions.
• Collaborate closely with Development, Infrastructure, Product, and Architecture teams to deliver robust platform capabilities.
• Drive automation to improve deployment, operational efficiency, and software delivery.
• Contribute engineering expertise to platform strategy and architectural improvements.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and platform standards.

Required Skills

• 10-15 years of Platform Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering experience.
• Strong AWS platform engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with CloudFormation (Terraform also considered, but CloudFormation is highly preferred).
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline automation using Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions.
• Strong knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working alongside Development and Infrastructure teams to deliver platform solutions.
• Strong Scripting and automation experience.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Terraform exposure.
• Experience working in large enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of DevOps best practices and modern cloud-native architectures.
