Mortgage Servicing Product Analyst/Business Analsyt

We are hiring a Mortgage Servicing Product Analyst for a full-time opportunity in Reston, VA.

We re looking for a highly analytical professional with strong experience in mortgage servicing, loss mitigation, business rule definition, and Agile user story development. This role will work at the intersection of business and technology, helping translate servicing needs into scalable product solutions.

Key requirements

• Experience with mortgage servicing operations
• Strong understanding of Loss Mitigation
• Ability to perform data analysis and querying
• Expertise in business rules and functional requirements
• Experience writing Agile user stories
• Strong collaboration across business and technology teams
• Preferred experience with Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac
• Knowledge of servicing guidelines across Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, and USDA

What you ll do

• Analyze and improve current-state mortgage servicing processes
• Define and manage business rules supporting servicing operations and compliance
• Translate business needs into requirements and user stories
• Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for policy and regulatory changes
• Support UAT and validate enhancements against business and compliance needs
• Drive continuous product improvement through feedback and performance monitoring

Preferred background

• 2+ years of experience in mortgage servicing, product analysis, or similar roles
• Strong knowledge of servicing systems and platforms
• Experience with tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Jira, and Confluence
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum
• Experience with platforms like Black Knight MSP, Sagent, or LoanServ is a plus
