Software Engineer with Security Clearance

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking aSoftware Engineer to support a company focused on modernizing and maintaining mission-critical enterprise applications for government programs. This position is on-site in Reston, VA. The Software Engineer will support testing, validation, and modernization efforts across complex enterprise systems while ensuring application reliability, security, and performance. Join a team supporting critical government initiatives through high-impact software quality and system validation efforts. Responsibilities for the Software Engineer include: * Support testing, validation, and deployment activities across multiple application environments
* Validate enterprise application upgrades, modernization initiatives, and technology stack enhancements
* Develop, execute, and document test plans, test cases, and quality assurance procedures
* Troubleshoot application, database, and infrastructure issues while partnering with development and engineering teams
* Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and compliance requirements are met
Required Qualifications for the Software Engineer include: * 13+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, Software Development, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
* Experience supporting enterprise Java applications, Python applications, Apache Solr, Zookeeper, Apache Tomcat, Oracle 19c, SAP Business Intelligence, and VMware-based environments
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and communication skills with knowledge of secure development and government compliance requirements
* Bachelor's degree may substitute for 4 years of experience; Master's degree may substitute for 6 years of experience
* Active TS/SCI Clearance required; CI Polygraph preferred
Compensation for the Software Engineer include: * Salary Range: competitive depending on experience
