Title: Senior AWS Platform Engineer 

Location: Alpharetta, GA (Preferred) 
Duration: 6+ Months Contract-to-Hire

We are seeking multiple Senior AWS Cloud Engineers to support an urgent cloud modernization initiative focused on building secure, scalable, and highly automated AWS infrastructure. These engineers will help strengthen cloud security, disaster recovery, platform resilience, and delivery speed.

This is a hands-on role for experienced engineers who can work independently, solve complex infrastructure challenges, and deliver against critical deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and automate secure, scalable AWS environments.
• Deploy and support containerized infrastructure, including Amazon EKS and container build pipelines.
• Build Python-based automation that reduces manual work and accelerates infrastructure delivery.
• Implement and support OpenSearch and Elasticsearch environments.
• Build and integrate streaming and messaging infrastructure using Amazon MSK and Apache Kafka.
• Support Oracle database infrastructure and related cloud integrations.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD and build processes using Jenkins, Git, Maven, and related Java ecosystem tools.
• Apply cloud security, disaster-recovery, reliability, and infrastructure-as-code best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues and collaborate with senior engineers across multiple product organizations.
• Take ownership of deliverables and operate effectively in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment.

Required Qualifications

• Approximately 6–10+ years of relevant cloud, infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering experience.
• Advanced, hands-on AWS engineering and solution architecture experience.
• Strong Python scripting and infrastructure automation skills.
• Experience building and operating Kubernetes environments, preferably Amazon EKS.
• Experience with container build and deployment pipelines; OpenShift Container Platform experience is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices, including Jenkins, Git, and Maven.
• Experience supporting Java-based application environments and delivery toolchains.
• Understanding of cloud security, high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and operational resilience.
• Ability to begin contributing quickly with limited oversight.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Amazon OpenSearch Service, Elasticsearch, Amazon MSK, Kafka, and Oracle infrastructure.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or financial/HCM platforms.
• Previous ADP experience.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering or automation tools.
• AWS architecture or engineering certifications.
