Lead DevOps Engineer

DevOps Lead Engineer Certain Advantage are recruiting on behalf of our Engineering client for a Lead Engineer with strong understanding of DevOps concepts, pipeline components and orchestrations tools, as well as an understanding of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software/platform called Teamcenter.<br />These technologies and tools are all essential because it will be your responsibility to architect and implement full end-to-end Teamcenter DevOps pipelines, which will deploy bespoke customer-specific solutions to running Teamcenter systems.

Suitable candidates will offer:

Strong fundamental understanding of DevOps concepts and underlying core-components used in DevOps pipelines – like Orchestrator, Artifact repository, Source code management etc.<br />Good familiarity and experience with DevOps pipeline orchestration tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, Azure DevOps etc.<br />General software architecture experience – good understanding of software architectures, design-patterns, and standards.<br />Familiarity with enterprise friendly software architecture aspects is another added advantage – e.g.

SSL, communications, firewalls, proxy usage etc.

Essentials Familiarity with Teamcenter software landscape and architectures is essential.<br />Experience with modern containerization technologies like Docker.<br />Experience with standard out-of-the-box DevOps tools like Nexus, JFrog, Maven, ANT etc.<br />Usage of command-line tools and automated/silent execution of DevOps tools.<br />Excellent scripting skills with modern scripting/programming languages, preferably Python or Ansible.<br />Prior experience with other TC DevOps solutions would be added advantage.

Work Experience Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking ability.<br />Good aptitude and motivation for learning, including self-learning technical concepts.<br />Candidate must be good in reviewing and learning official technical documentation for industry standard tools.<br />Familiarity and high level of confidence with at least one programming language, preferably Python or Java.<br />Good understanding of software architectures and communication protocols.
