Quick overview
Job description
Join a Team with Heart
Step into a unit where teamwork, dialogue, and positive culture thrive. Our Cardiac Intermediate Unit serves as a step-down between CVICU and Telemetry , specializing in the care of patients recovering from open-heart and vascular surgeries, complex cardiac procedures, and advanced cardiovascular conditions. Nurses in this environment deliver high-acuity care with the support and collaboration of a strong multidisciplinary team—making it an ideal place for nurses who want to build advanced skills in a progressive care setting.
What makes this unit stand out:
• A true step-down specialty unit —high acuity, but with strong resources and team support
• Growth opportunities—many of our clinical nurses grow and join critical care units
• 24/7 leadership support, including weekends
• Rapid Response team always available for backup
• A diverse, energetic team that values advanced skills, critical thinking, and positivity
If you’re ready to advance your career in cardiovascular nursing—gaining the skills of a Critical Care nurse with the support of an intermediate care setting—this is the place to be.
