About our client

Our client, an entrepreneurial mid-market private equity fund is currently hiring a Controlling & Operations Manager for its Munich based team. The firm, which mainly focuses on the DACH region, invest into a number of different business sectors. The firm is currently working towards closing its latest fund raise and have committed growth plans from an employee and asset perspective for the next year. As part of this continued growth, the firm is now looking to expand its internal operational infrastructure, by making the addition of a Controlling & Operations Manager to the CFO function. What the job involves

As the Controlling & Operations Manager, you will partner closely with the firms CFO, supporting the business across a wide range of finance, legal, tax and fund administration based responsibilities. Due to this being a growth role for the organisation, there will be plenty of exposure available and the opportunity to really take ownership of set tasks.
  • Support compliance matters, including AIFMD, AML, BaFin reporting and internal policies
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements, budgets and other reporting requirements
  • Support ESG and AML reporting processes
  • Take ownership of ad hoc projects and support broader Fund CFO activities
  • Review and process travel expenses, ensuring correct cost allocation
  • Review incoming invoices, prepare outgoing invoices and support payment runs
  • Manage banking matters, filing and documentation, and support external advisers where needed
  • Support corporate governance, research and presentations, while contributing to wider CFO Office tasks
Who we are looking for
  • Similar experience working within the private equity or investment management industry
  • Proven strong analytical skills and an affinity for numbers
  • Previous exposure to compliance topics
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office and Power BI
  • Fluent in both German and English
  • €70,000 - €120,000 base salary on offer
