Job Description

Mobile Security Engineer

Location: Bristol/London
Working Model: Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite
Contract: 6 months, with possible extension
Rate: £300/day (Inside IR35)

Role Overview

We are looking for experienced Mobile Security Engineers to strengthen the security posture of mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms.

The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience in mobile application security, threat modelling, penetration testing, security assessments, and vulnerability mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular security reviews and assessments of mobile applications.

  • Perform mobile application penetration testing across Android and iOS platforms.

  • Apply threat modelling techniques to identify security risks and recommend effective mitigations.

  • Develop and maintain penetration-testing tools, scripts, policies, and security procedures.

  • Assess mobile applications against recognised mobile security standards and best practices.

  • Identify vulnerabilities and provide practical remediation recommendations.

  • Support security testing, automation, and integration within DevSecOps environments.

  • Research emerging mobile security technologies, vulnerabilities, threats, and attack techniques.

  • Collaborate with development, engineering, and security teams to improve application security.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in Mobile Application Security.

  • Hands-on experience with Android and iOS security.

  • Strong knowledge of mobile threat modelling and mitigation techniques.

  • Experience conducting mobile application penetration testing.

  • In-depth knowledge of mobile application security standards and best practices.

  • Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, and cryptography.

  • Experience with mobile security tools and vulnerability assessment techniques.

  • Ability to develop security scripts, tools, and automation.
