Business Intelligence Analyst

Responsibilities

• Build, enhance, and maintain dashboards and KPI reporting that provide visibility into business health, funnel performance, and campaign effectiveness.
• Analyze conversion trends, drop-off points, and operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop SQL queries and data transformations to work with complex datasets and support recurring reporting needs.
• Automate manual tracking and reporting processes to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
• Partner with analytics, engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders to support new initiatives and resolve data issues.
• Translate findings into concise, narrative-driven insights that help leadership make informed decisions.
• Support performance measurement for pilots and new programs with the right metrics and reporting structure.

Skills

• 4-7 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, business operations, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience as an individual contributor in a data-focused role.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex querying, window functions, and data transformation.
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Superset, or strong Excel/Google Sheets modeling skills.
• Ability to turn data into clear written and verbal insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Experience using AI tools to support analysis, query development, or dashboard creation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in a high-growth startup, marketplace, or platform environment.
• Background supporting teams in technology, operations, or business strategy.
• Familiarity with scaling reporting frameworks and improving data workflows.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data, Economics, or a related field.
