We are looking for a Process Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering team and drive improvements across processes, tooling, quality, cost and efficiency.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and seeing their ideas put into practice.

Commutable from Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, Rugeley, Lichfield, Tamworth, Walsall, Aldridge, Cannock, Barton Under Needwood, Atherton, Minworth and Great Barr

Duties

  • Youll play a key part in developing and optimising manufacturing processes,
  • Driving process improvements, productivity gains and cost-saving projects
  • Developing tooling and technical strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Working closely with tool suppliers, production and engineering teams
  • Setting up and optimising tooling to achieve minimum cycle times and maximum quality
  • Supporting engineering changes and updating PFMEA documentation
  • Working cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance and Manufacturing
  • Leading and supporting continuous improvement activities including TPM, HOSHIN, SMED and QRCI
  • Developing standard operations and supporting technical training and skills development
  • Coordinating technical teams to identify and deliver improvement opportunities

What We're Looking For

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline (Masters desirable)
  • Previous engineering/manufacturing experience, ideally 23 years within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of process improvement and project management
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Good IT skills, including MS Office and Lean Manufacturing tools
