Role Overview You'll play a key role in design, coordination, and technical delivery while contributing to best practice and supporting junior team members.

Lead the design, planning, and delivery of mechanical and electrical engineering projects.<br />Produce and review technical drawings, calculations, and specifications.<br />Conduct site visits and surveys to support design development.<br />Coordinate project activities, resources, and programme milestones.<br />Prepare high‑quality documentation, reports, and technical records.<br />Ensure compliance with Health &amp; Safety standards, including RAMS.<br />Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.<br />Apply and develop expertise in ASHP, GSHP, and energy‑efficient systems.<br />Attend client meetings and provide technical input.<br />Support continuous improvement and mentor junior colleagues.<br />Perform detailed HVAC calculations (heat loss/gain, ventilation, system sizing).<br />Design HVAC systems including ductwork, pipework, plant rooms, and distribution networks.<br />Ensure compliance with CIBSE, Building Regulations, BS, and IET Wiring Regulations.<br />Undertake mechanical and electrical load calculations (heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, distribution).Experience &amp; Qualifications Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or similar.<br />Strong interest in building services and sustainable energy solutions.<br />Excellent understanding of engineering principles.<br />Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD (Revit desirable).<br />Strong communication and teamwork skills.<br />Highly organised with strong attention to detail.<br />Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.What's on Offer Competitive salary - Up to £45,000<br />Company pension scheme<br />On‑site parking<br />Hybrid working<br />Employee discounts<br />Additional holiday with length of service<br />Ongoing training and professional development<br />Clear career progression pathways<br />Opportunity to work on large‑scale commercial and low‑carbon projectsWhat you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.<br />If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.
