Project Description:

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to spearhead the modernization and reinstallation of physical network infrastructure across various office locations. This role is critical for transitioning legacy environments to a high-performance, standardized architecture.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  - Infrastructure Assessment & Research: Audit legacy Fortinet configurations; identify critical functionalities; research existing hardware/software dependencies; and troubleshoot unknown Wi-Fi hardware.

  - Deployment: Replicate firewall and switching functionality within a new Ubiquiti environment; configure and deploy new switching hardware (12 or 14-port units); and reconfigure physical network layouts.

  - Operations & Maintenance: Provide specialized Wi-Fi troubleshooting; manage the decommissioned equipment lifecycle; and collaborate with local Office Managers for site access and onboarding.

 

Required Skillset:

 

  - Advanced expertise in Fortinet (FortiGate) and Ubiquiti platforms.

  - Proficiency in Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching and configuration.

  - Proven ability to map and translate firewall rules between different vendors.

  - Expert-level Wi-Fi diagnostic skills and strong analytical skills for complex legacy systems.
