Job Description

Position: Epidemiologist 1
Location: Hybrid – Nashville, TN
Duration: 09/21/2026 – 06/30/2027
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CST, 37.5 hours/week
Travel: Monthly/as needed travel to the Nashville office; travel is not reimbursable
Important: Candidates must be current Tennessee residents.

The role supports the Community Health Access and Navigation in Tennessee (CHANT) Initiative and focuses heavily on REDCap development, SAS programming, epidemiological analysis, reporting, and health data management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain REDCap data collection systems
  • Implement SAS code and REDCap changes as requirements evolve
  • Pull, clean, analyze, and submit weekly/monthly/quarterly reports
  • Perform data analysis and create data outputs/visualizations
  • Respond to ad-hoc data and analysis requests
  • Provide technical assistance to non-technical staff
  • Support public health surveillance and program evaluation initiatives
  • Work with program teams, leadership, regional teams, and external stakeholders

Required qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Public Health Biostatistics, Statistics, Health Information, or a related field
  • Strong REDCap experience
  • Proficiency with SAS/statistical programming
  • Experience with health/public health data, data management, and analysis
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
