AWS Senior Cloud Engineer (Hands-On)
Location: Columbus, OH (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract (W2 / C2C)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced AWS Senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise cloud infrastructure on AWS. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise with container orchestration, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD automation, and cloud observability while supporting large-scale production workloads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, configure, and operate Amazon ECS and Amazon EKS clusters using EC2 and Fargate.
  • Design and manage task definitions, services, autoscaling, IAM roles, ALB/NLB integrations, and networking components.
  • Develop reusable Terraform modules and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards for AWS environments.
  • Implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
  • Design and maintain CI pipelines using Jenkins and CD pipelines using Spinnaker.
  • Implement blue/green deployments, canary releases, rollback strategies, and deployment automation.
  • Build enterprise observability solutions using Dynatrace and Splunk.
  • Configure monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, dashboards, alerting, and operational readiness metrics.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to automate deployments and improve platform reliability.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and continuously optimize cloud infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of IT experience with strong AWS Cloud engineering expertise.
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, EC2, and AWS Fargate.
  • Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of Jenkins and Spinnaker CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with IAM, ALB, NLB, Auto Scaling, and AWS networking.
  • Experience implementing enterprise monitoring using Dynatrace and Splunk.
  • Strong understanding of observability, logging, tracing, and performance monitoring.
  • Experience with production support, troubleshooting, and cloud operations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Blue/Green Deployment Strategies.
  • Canary Deployments.
  • Cloud Security Best Practices.
  • Enterprise DevOps Platform Experience.
  • Financial Services or Banking domain experience.
