We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to support server, storage, networking, and GPU infrastructure deployments in a data center environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on data center experience, with a strong background in rack-and-stack installations, structured cabling, hardware moves, adds, changes, and physical hardware troubleshooting.
This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can follow engineering documentation and deployment runbooks precisely while maintaining high standards for safety, security, ESD protection, asset tracking, and cable management.

- Exposure to high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
- Knowledge of hot-aisle/cold-aisle containment and data center airflow best practices.
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to support server, storage, networking, and GPU infrastructure deployments in a data center environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on data center experience, with a strong background in rack-and-stack installations, structured cabling, hardware moves, adds, changes, and physical hardware troubleshooting.
This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can follow engineering documentation and deployment runbooks precisely while maintaining high standards for safety, security, ESD protection, asset tracking, and cable management.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform rack, stack, and cable installation of servers, storage, networking, and GPU systems.
- Install equipment rails, mount hardware, label assets, and ensure proper airflow and cable management.
- Connect and verify power, fiber, and copper network cabling.
- Assist with hardware moves, adds, and changes (MACs) across data center floors.
- Follow detailed deployment runbooks, rack elevation diagrams, and engineering documentation.
- Conduct basic hardware validation, including LED, port, connectivity, and physical checks.
- Perform basic physical troubleshooting of servers, networking equipment, cabling, and related infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate asset tracking, equipment labeling, and deployment documentation using internal tools.
- Partner with Data Center Engineers and Network teams during hardware deployments, migrations, and infrastructure changes.
- Support large-scale hardware refreshes, deployments, and migrations.
- Adhere strictly to ESD, safety, security, and data center operational protocols.
- Assist with the decommissioning, removal, and disposal of end-of-life hardware.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly managed work environment within data center spaces.
- 3+ years of hands-on data center experience performing rack-and-stack installations.
- Strong understanding of:
- Server and network rack layouts
- Structured cabling, including fiber and copper
- Power distribution units (PDUs)
- Data center hardware installation and cable management
- Experience installing enterprise server hardware such as Dell, HPE, Supermicro, or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret rack elevation diagrams, deployment instructions, and engineering documentation.
- Familiarity with data center deployment processes and hardware lifecycle management.
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in confined rack environments.
- Familiarity with ESD procedures and safe handling of sensitive electronic hardware.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and established procedures.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Experience working in hyperscale or GPU-dense data centers.
- Exposure to high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
- Knowledge of hot-aisle/cold-aisle containment and data center airflow best practices.
- Experience supporting large-scale hardware refreshes, migrations, or infrastructure deployments.
- Basic Linux familiarity is helpful but not required.
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in confined spaces around server racks and data center infrastructure.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and work around equipment for extended periods.
- Must be able to follow all applicable data center safety, security, and ESD requirements.
