15+ years in Life & Annuities (L&A) insurance, with deep expertise in product design, distribution, underwriting, claims, and digital transformation.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Life Insurance SME to advise clients across the Southeast US market on modernizing life insurance operations and adopting nextgeneration digital capabilities. The role requires strong knowledge of life insurance products, distribution channels, regulatory frameworks, and emerging technologies (AI/GenAI, automation, digital ecosystems).

You will act as a trusted advisor, helping carriers and distributors transform core functions—underwriting, new business, policy servicing, claims, and customer engagement—while ensuring seamless execution with delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

Client Advisory

• Partner with carriers, distributors, and agencies to understand business challenges across the life insurance value chain.
• Recommend tailored solutions leveraging AI/GenAI, predictive underwriting, automated new business processing, digital claims, and customer engagement platforms.
• Provide thought leadership on market trends, product innovation, regulatory changes (state-specific SU regulations), and technology adoption.

Solution Design

• Develop strategies for life underwriting modernization, straight-through processing, policy administration transformation, and digital claims workflows.
• Evaluate and integrate advanced technologies such as AI-driven mortality/morbidity risk scoring, automated evidence gathering, fraud detection, and digital servicing portals.
• Build business cases, ROI models, and transformation roadmaps for proposed solutions.

Delivery Collaboration

• Work closely with delivery teams to ensure solutions are implemented effectively and aligned with client expectations.
• Provide SME guidance during execution—requirements, process mapping, testing, and validation.
• Support change management, training, and adoption for client stakeholders.

Industry Leadership

• Stay ahead of trends in life insurance, annuities, insurtech, AI/GenAI, wellness/behavioral data, wearables, and digital distribution.
• Represent the company at industry forums, conferences, and client workshops.
• Contribute to thought leadership content (whitepapers, webinars, case studies).

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in Life & Annuities insurance, with a focus on solution design, operations, and digital transformation.
• Proven track record advising and implementing solutions for life carriers, TPAs, or large distributors.
• Strong knowledge of AI/GenAI applications in life insurance (predictive underwriting, automated claims, customer personalization).
• Familiarity with life insurance platforms, policy admin systems, new business/underwriting workbenches, and regulatory frameworks across the Southeast US.
• Excellent client-facing communication and consulting skills.
• Ability to bridge business needs with technical delivery teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
