Mainframe z/OS Systems Programmer - Phoenix, AZ metro area; hybrid working model

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Mainframe z/OS Systems Programmer to install, maintain, upgrade, and support IBM z/OS environments, ensuring system availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain z/OS and system software.
• Manage SMP/E, RACF, JES2/JES3, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, USS, and TCP/IP.
• Perform system upgrades, maintenance, and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot system issues and support disaster recovery activities.
• Implement security controls and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of z/OS Systems Programming experience.
• Strong knowledge of z/OS, SMP/E, RACF, JES2/JES3, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and TCP/IP.
• Experience with system performance tuning and problem resolution.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with CICS, Db2, MQ, IMS, z/VM, and automation tools.
• Exposure to mainframe modernization and DevOps practices.
