Job Description

Senior Data Engineer Quincy, MA (Hybrid) | Long-Term
Location: Quincy, MA
Domain: Retail (Local candidates preferred)

Must-Have Skills
12+ years of Data Engineering experience min 1+ year as Lead or Architect
3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse
Strong experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark, Azure Data Lake Storage
Expertise in ETL or ELT pipeline development
Strong SQL and data modeling (Star Schema, Data Vault, Lakehouse, Data Mesh)
Experience with Python and cloud-based data platforms
Knowledge of Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure MI, Azure Analysis Services
Experience integrating data from databases, APIs, and external sources
Metadata management and data governance experience
Strong leadership, architecture, and stakeholder communication skills
Nice to Have
Elasticsearch
Docker & Kubernetes
Bash or Unix shell scripting
Performance tuning and troubleshooting
Azure or Databricks certifications
