Tech Ops - Prime Brokerage - Securities Lending - GMS Advisors

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experiencedPrime Finance Technical Analyst to provide hands-on support for Prime Finance businesses, including Prime Brokerage, Swap and Securities Lending with products covering Equity, Options, Fixed Income and OTC. This role focuses onPlatform support, analysis, and delivery execution , working closely with the Product, Technology and Operations teams.

This role will focus on our Securities Lending platforms.The contractor willsupport these platforms, troubleshoot issues, deliver enhancements, and ensure stability of these critical systems .

Role Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

Key responsibilities:

1. Support Securities Lending teams and platforms
2. Monitor and Support platform operations including, exception processing and maintenance.
3. Monitor dependencies across teams and vendors in multi-region financial operations.
4. Ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls (e.g., audit, risk, and compliance standards).
5. Liaison across Product, Securities Lending Desks, Client Services, Operations and Technology teams.

Platform Support

1. Provide Level 2/3 production & functional support
2. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across processing lifecycle and workflows
3. Partner directly with the various teams, and vendors to ensure post trade platform & system reliability

Technical Delivery & Enhancements

1. Translating business requirements into technical specifications and solutions
2. Develop, test, and implement system enhancements and fixes
3. Support SQL and Python-based analysis, automation, and tooling
4. Contribute to integration efforts across upstream/downstream systems

Analysis & Problem Solving

1. Diagnosing issues and documenting/communicating root cause analysis
2. Conduct data analysis and reconciliation support across trade lifecycle
3. Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements

SDLC & Governance

1. Participate in full software development lifecycle (SDLC) including testing and release support
2. Ensure adherence to release management, version control, and production standards
3. Support documentation of technical solutions and processes

Stakeholder Engagement

1. Collaborate with Product & Business stakeholders to interpret requirements
2. Provide technical consultation and advisory support to project teams

Required Skills & Experience:

1. 5+ years of experience in technical analysis, platform support or development supporting Global Markets
2. Experience in Prime Finance business and related products is preferred
3. Domain knowledge of Securities Lending, Inventory Management and Prime Finance Funding
4. Hands-on expertise in:
5. SQL (advanced querying, troubleshooting)
6. Python (scripting, automation, analysis)

Required Skills & Experience:

1. 5+ years of experience in technical analysis, platform support or development supporting Global Markets
2. Experience in Prime Finance business and related products is preferred
3. Domain knowledge of Securities Lending, Inventory Management and Prime Finance Funding
4. Hands-on expertise in:
5. SQL (advanced querying, troubleshooting)
6. Python (scripting, automation, analysis)
7. Strong understanding of Trade lifecycle and Market connectivity workflows
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to think critically and adapt to new technologies
9. Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger or API Blueprint
10. Experience with agile development methodologies and similar frameworks including familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows
11. Solid understanding of database systems, MSSQL, PL SQL, with experience enhancing & maintaining store procedures
12. Proven ability to operate in a production support environment with tight SLAs

Nice-to-Have Skills:

1. Experience supporting Securities Lending for Prime Finance is preferred
2. Knowledge of global markets, settlements, contract matching, custody and cross-border implications.
3. Experience with vendor platforms (e.g., Global One, iLoan, Broadridge, Equilend, LoanSmart )
4. DevOps Practices: Experience with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring in cloud environments, ensuring efficient and scalable software delivery.
5. Architectural Knowledge: In-depth understanding of architectural principles, design patterns, and microservices architecture, allowing for the design and implementation of robust and scalable solutions.
6. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders, technical and non-technical, to articulate complex concepts and guide developments.
