Oracle Cloud ERP Functional Architect
Location: Washington, DC
Local to DMV area only Rate: DOE
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud ERP Functional Architect to lead the functional architecture, implementation, configuration, and support of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP Financials. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle EBS, strong functional expertise across Oracle Financials modules, and a proven track record of leading full-lifecycle Oracle Cloud Financials implementations.
This role requires a strong business background, excellent client-facing communication skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into robust Oracle Cloud ERP solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all functional aspects of Oracle Cloud ERP implementation and support across:
    • Cloud General Ledger
    • Cloud Accounts Payable
    • Cloud Accounts Receivable
    • Cloud Cash Management
    • Cloud Fixed Assets
    • Project Portfolio Management Cloud
  • Analyze business requirements and design best-practice technology solutions.
  • Interact with client teams to understand business requirements and develop robust functional solutions.
  • Assess clients' current-state processes and develop future-state recommendations.
  • Lead day-to-day functional activities, including process design and configuration workshops.
  • Identify functional gaps and RICEW requirements and support testing activities.
  • Participate in requirements gathering and business requirements analysis.
  • Align business requirements with Oracle best practices to develop functional solutions.
  • Define new and refine existing business processes.
  • Develop functional design concepts and documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and development of internal processes and intellectual property.
  • Participate in project planning and provide Oracle Cloud ERP subject matter expertise.
  • Estimate project work and contribute to delivery planning.
  • Lead and design Cloud ERP project solutions across Oracle Fusion and financial applications.
  • Support planning, designing, implementing, integrating, testing, operating, and maintaining Oracle Fusion financial functions.
  • Architect and design technology solutions across multiple business processes.
  • Manage cross-functional teams, projects, and vendor relationships as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 12+ years of experience with Oracle Cloud ERP and/or Oracle EBS.
  • Minimum of 2+ full-lifecycle Oracle Cloud Financials implementations.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.
  • Broad business background with strong interpersonal and client communication skills.
  • Experience with full project lifecycle activities, including Requirements, Design, Development, Testing, and Rollout.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Structures and module-specific configurations.
  • Ability to perform requirements analysis and develop functional design documents.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex business requirements and translate them into functional concepts and solutions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience across multiple business processes.
  • Proven ability to architect and design technology solutions.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and projects.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Ability to lead and design Oracle Cloud ERP project solutions.
  • Experience managing Oracle Fusion financial applications across implementation, integration, testing, support, and operations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with state and local government accounting, financial management, budgeting, and grants.
  • Experience working with public-sector financial processes.
  • Strong experience leading Oracle Cloud ERP functional workshops.
  • Experience identifying functional gaps and RICEW requirements.
  • Strong client-facing consulting and stakeholder management experience.
  • Experience contributing to reusable methodologies, internal processes, and intellectual property.
