Full-Stack Java Engineer Only Full Time

Job Description:

Must-Have

0–7 years of software engineering experience with full-stack range — both backend and frontend

Backend experience (Python, Go, or infrastructure such as AWS) and frontend experience (TypeScript/JavaScript/React or a modern equivalent)

At least one of: 1.5+ years at a Tier-1 engineering team (FAANG, YC company, scale-up); an ex-founder background; a CS degree from an elite school (Ivies, Waterloo, well-respected state schools); or other strong evidence of excellence (side projects, open source, etc.)

Willing to relocate to San Francisco and work Monday–Friday in-office, with frequent weekend pushes or visa holder — sponsorship for sub-$100K H-1B roles is not available

Nice-to-Have

Built or owned a 0→1 product or feature from scratch

Early engineer at a startup (roughly employee #1–15) or experience at an early-stage startup / small product team

Production experience with LLM APIs — prompting, RAG, agents, evals, AI workflows

Data pipeline, ingestion, or analytics infrastructure experience (queues, async jobs, webhooks, ETL/ELT, workflow systems)

Builds in public — writing, open source, talks, Show HN, a meaningful GitHub presence
