About the role
Were looking for a Finance Systems Project Manager to play a key role in our Group Finance Transformation programme, helping us bring together finance, technology and smarter ways of working.
Youll sit at the intersection of Finance and IT, leading the delivery of finance system upgrades, process automation and complex integrations. Working closely with both teams, youll make sure our technology solutions not only work effectively, but also meet our financial controls, accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

This is a hybrid role based in our superb Group Support Office based in Doncaster and may involve occasional travel
What youll be responsible for
Managing finance technology projects from start to finish, from building the initial business case through to implementation and handover.
Working closely with Finance and IT to understand what the business needs and turn this into practical technology solutions.
Leading projects that improve finance systems, automate processes and make it easier for information to flow between our retail and finance systems.
Working with teams across Finance, IT, Internal Audit and Financial Controls to make sure new systems are secure, well controlled and meet our regulatory requirements.
Helping to introduce new systems and processes smoothly, making sure they are ready to move into business-as-usual support.
Managing project budgets, resources and risks, keeping projects on track and making sure they deliver the expected results.
Working alongside our Business Change team to make sure new systems and processes are successfully introduced and adopted by our teams.
Supporting business cases by helping to define the benefits, objectives and measures of success for each project.
Building strong relationships across Finance, IT and the wider business to bring people together and deliver meaningful improvements.
Were looking for someone who has
- A strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, including general ledger structures, reconciliations, financial controls and audit requirements.
- Proven experience managingfinance technology projects, ideally with 4+ years experience delivering system implementations, upgrades, process automation or financial system integrations.
- Experience working with finance platforms such asMicrosoft Dynamics 365, Workday, SAP, Sage or Oracle NetSuite.
- A good understanding of how systems connect and share information, includingAPIs, data migration and databases.
- Experience using project management methodologies such asAgile, Waterfall or Hybrid, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work effectively withFinance, IT, auditors and technical teams.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships, understand different perspectives and bring people together to deliver successful change.
A background or professional qualification in finance/accounting (e.g., part-qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent experience as a Finance Systems Analyst).
Experience working in a fast-paced UK retail or e-commerce environment.
Project management certification (PRINCE2, APM, or Agile PM).
