Internal Cloud PaaS (TAS) Engineer - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Internal Cloud PaaS (TAS) Engineer for a hybrid position (3 days onsite per week required) with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for the design, build, and ongoing engineering of the Internal Cloud Platform's Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability based on VMware Tanzu Application Server (TAS). The successful candidate will ensure the platform meets enterprise requirements for availability, scalability, security, and developer experience while integrating with the broader internal cloud ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

• Engineer and evolve TAS foundations and define platform integration patterns across the VMware stack
• Enable secure and scalable application runtimes
• Support application onboarding and modernization to the PaaS model
• Collaborate with platform automation, SRE, and operations teams to continuously improve platform reliability, scalability, and lifecycle management
• Own the TAS platform architecture, configuration standards, and engineering patterns

Requirements:

• 4-5 years experience engineering or operating Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux, application runtimes, and platform architecture
• Familiarity with VMware, virtualization concepts, and internal cloud platforms
• Experience supporting developer onboarding, CI/CD integration, and application runtime platforms

Desired skills:

• Direct experience with VMware Tanzu Application Server (TAS) or Cloud Foundry
• 5-7+ years supporting enterprise PaaS or internal developer platforms
• PaaS, cloud platform, or DevOps certification
• Experience modernizing applications to PaaS models in regulated enterprises

Pay range: $60.24 - $68.24 per hour
