AI engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an AI Engineer with strong Java development experience to design, develop, and integrate AI/ML-powered solutions into enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and Generative AI/LLM technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-powered applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Integrate Generative AI/LLM models into enterprise applications.
• Develop scalable REST APIs and microservices for AI-based solutions.
• Work with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), embeddings, and vector databases.
• Integrate AI services through APIs such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or similar platforms.
• Build and maintain data pipelines required for AI applications.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Software Engineers, and Product teams.
• Implement testing, monitoring, security, and performance optimization for AI applications.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design and documentation.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8+ / Java 11+.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of Microservices architecture.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, or AI application development.
• Knowledge of RAG, prompt engineering, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.
• Familiarity with Python for AI/ML-related development is preferred.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, or similar AI frameworks.
• Knowledge of AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform cloud platforms.
• Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, or pgvector.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of machine learning concepts and model deployment.
• Experience building AI agents or AI-powered enterprise applications.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
