Location: Washington, DC (Onsite)

Compensation: $83,200 to $93,600 /year
Duration: 12-Month Contract with Strong Potential for Conversion
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

 

Tier4 Group is seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienist / Safety Specialist to support a major federal program in Washington, DC. What You''ll Be Doing

Occupational Safety & Health Program Support

  • Maintain OSHA injury and illness records, including OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 logs
  • Conduct incident investigations and root cause analyses
  • Track corrective actions and safety program initiatives
  • Support safety inspections, audits, and compliance reviews
  • Analyze safety trends and develop recommendations for program improvement

Industrial Hygiene Activities

  • Assist with industrial hygiene surveys and exposure assessments
  • Support asbestos, lead, mold, and other hazard evaluations
  • Participate in workplace inspections and environmental assessments
  • Assist with air monitoring, noise monitoring, and hazard recognition activities
  • Support PPE evaluations and recommendations

Technical Writing & Documentation

  • Develop and update SOPs, policies, safety manuals, and program documentation
  • Prepare technical reports, findings, recommendations, and compliance documentation
  • Present information clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Maintain organized records and program documentation

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with federal managers, safety personnel, and program stakeholders
  • Support safety awareness and compliance initiatives
  • Help drive continuous improvement efforts across occupational health and safety programs

What We''re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree preferred (field of study flexible with relevant experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, EHS, or a related field
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and recordkeeping requirements
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and developing corrective actions
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work onsite in Washington, DC

Preferred Qualifications

  • Federal agency or federal contractor experience
  • Experience with industrial hygiene sampling activities
  • Asbestos, lead, mold, or hazardous materials assessment experience
  • Experience developing SOPs, policies, and safety program documentation
  • Exposure assessment and workplace evaluation experience
