Your role

As a CNC Machinist, your mission is to program, set up, and operate Swiss-type lathes for precision component manufacturing. Responsibilities include part inspection, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with engineering and quality teams in a safe, team-oriented environment. You will report to the Production Manager, Equipment Operations.
You will
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision components to specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
- Select, install, and adjust cutting tools, collets, guide bushings, and other machine parts.
- Perform offset adjustments, tool changes, and program edits at the machine control.
- Measure and inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and CMM.
- Write machine G-code programs using a CAD/CAM software based on part drawings and specifications from engineering.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized.
- Collaborate with team members such as manufacturing engineering, quality, planning, and production staff
- Support implementation of new products, tooling, techniques and processes
- Foster a team-based learning environment for yourself and others
- Promote a safe work area carrying out regular housekeeping duties as necessary.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned.

- Minimum 5 years' experience in machining.
- Set up and operate multi-spindle CNC machines
- Read and interpret technical drawings and understand GD&T.
- Read, write, and edit G-code programs.
- Set, use, and read precision layout and measuring instruments
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (AS APPLICABLE):
- Lift and position parts weighing up to approximately no more than 50 pounds periodically.
