Job Description

The Head of Reporting role will see you overseeing financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance. You'll play a key part in supporting the business by delivering timely insights and maintaining strong financial controls

A leading Midlands manufacturing business.

Description

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Overseeing the preparation of statutory accounts across the Group, including both audited and non-audited entities.
  • Drafting high-quality papers for the Audit Committee.
  • Acting as the owner of the Group reporting and consolidation systems, defining requirements, scoping improvements and ensuring robust data consolidation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Develop and maintain financial reporting processes and controls.
  • Provide insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial reporting with business objectives.
  • Manage and mentor the reporting team to achieve high performance.
  • Driving improvements to reporting processes, strengthening controls and embedding disciplined reporting rhythms to consistently meet demanding deadlines.
  • Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Identifying opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve efficiency.

Profile

  • A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
  • Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards within a large, complex organisation
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality reporting against challenging deadlines
  • Experience with financial reporting and consolidation systems, including ownership of system improvements and data consolidation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Confidence engaging with executive-level stakeholders, presenting financial information and influencing decision-making.

Job Offer

  • Salary ranging from £75,000- £85,000, plus benefits inc car allowance
