THE POSITION

• Conduct regular foot and mobile patrols across hospital grounds, wards and Mental Health Unit
• Monitor CCTV, security systems, duress alarms and access control systems
• Provide first response support for aggressive behaviour, anti social behaviour and emergency situations
• Escort staff, patients, visitors, contractors, valuables and deliveries as required
• Manage building access, lock up and unlock procedures
• Complete incident reports, logbooks, audits and required documentation
• Deliver a professional, calm and customer focused presence at all times

THE PERSON

• Current and valid NSW Security Licence
• Certificate II in Security Operations (minimum)
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Strong communication skills with the ability to de escalate conflict
• Sound report writing and basic computer skills
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and act decisively during incidents
• Current unrestricted driver licence (desirable)
