Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred.
• Telecom Services & Expense Management experience.
• Experience with project-based financial management, telecom expense management, budgeting, forecasting, and auditing.
• In-depth invoice analysis and auditing experience.
• Strong SQL and Tableau expertise.
• Experience working with large datasets and advanced analytics platforms.
• Strong financial forecasting and reporting background.
• Ability to independently perform research and detailed data analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and data interpretation skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational and quantitative analysis skills.
• Ability to manage high-volume workloads independently.
• Experience gathering business requirements and documenting business needs.
• Ability to perform financial analysis using financial systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with PeopleSoft Finance Modules.
• Experience with ServiceNow Reporting Modules.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in establishing and optimizing processes for Telecom Services & Expense Management.
• Establish and optimize processes for management and monitoring of telecom spending.
• Perform financial analysis, forecasting, financial planning, invoice auditing, and expense analysis.
• Conduct variance reporting and analysis.
• Forecast procurement requirements for new purchases, contract modifications, and vendor payments.
• Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and advanced analytics platforms to analyze large datasets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Optimize expenditures and identify invoice overcharges from telecom carriers.
• Establish and optimize processes for preparing and auditing invoices, wireless plans, and wireless equipment purchases.
• Analyze budget variance and expense reports while ensuring data integrity.
• Review Cost Benefit Analyses (CBAs) and Return on Investment (ROI).
• Analyze vendor expenses and compare expenditures against contract funding.
• Prepare budget expense variance reports.
• Develop reports and analyses for Machine-to-Machine accounts, forecasts, expense reports, and business forecasts.
• Prepare status reports for in-process and completed projects, including budget and schedule tracking.
• Prepare and evaluate mid-year and year-end forecasts.
• Monitor spending and support rollover of unspent funds.
• Track planned and actual expenses in support of the annual budgeting process.
• Investigate and resolve overcharges and anomalies identified during telecom vendor audits.

Database Administration & Maintenance

• Manage database administration activities including backups, restores, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Monitor database health, storage utilization, query performance, and scheduled jobs.
• Ensure data integrity, enforce constraints, and maintain database normalization.

Data Ingestion & ETL

• Create, manage, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Load data from files, APIs, vendor portals, Excel, and external systems.
• Validate incoming data and manage malformed records and staging tables.
• Automate data imports using stored procedures, scripts, or scheduled jobs.

SQL Development

• Develop complex SQL queries utilizing joins, window functions, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), and aggregations.
• Debug and optimize slow-running SQL queries.
• Develop views, materialized views, functions, and stored procedures.
• Implement partitioning and indexing strategies to improve database performance.

Database Development & Change Management

• Modify database tables, columns, constraints, and relationships.
• Refactor existing SQL code while maintaining backward compatibility.
• Manage schema migrations and SQL version control.
• Execute production database changes with minimal operational disruption.

Security & Compliance

• Manage database user roles and permissions.
• Implement auditing, logging, and compliance controls.
• Secure data both at rest and in transit.
• Evaluate database risks before implementing changes.

Troubleshooting & Support

• Diagnose failed jobs, data ingestion errors, missing data, and corrupted records.
• Investigate slow queries, locking, and database contention issues.
• Analyze execution plans, logs, and profiling information to determine root causes.

Business & Stakeholder Support

• Translate technical database concepts into business-friendly recommendations.
• Recommend improvements for data models, workflows, and system architecture.
• Support reporting, analytics, and operational planning.
• Provide delivery estimates and resource planning guidance.

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

• Document database structures, ETL pipelines, SQL queries, and workflows.
• Develop onboarding documentation, runbooks, and change management documentation.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and training for business users and stakeholders.

Cloud Database & DevOps

• Deploy and manage databases in cloud platforms including Azure SQL and AWS RDS.
• Support data lake integrations, cloud pipelines, and blob storage workflows.
• Utilize DevOps and CI tools for automated database deployments and testing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• Experience with telecom expense management.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, auditing, and project-based financial management.
• Experience with Azure SQL, AWS RDS, cloud data platforms, DevOps, and CI/CD tools.
