Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Security Engineer to join a dynamic security engineering team focused on enterprise cryptography and data protection. In this role, you will design, implement, and manage advanced encryption and key management solutions that safeguard sensitive organizational data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize security architectures, troubleshoot complex issues, and lead critical infrastructure upgrades. This position offers an opportunity to mentor junior staff, contribute to large-scale technical initiatives, and shape the organization s overall security posture. The role requires hands-on expertise in cryptographic technologies, especially in managing unstructured data encryption platforms.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Security Engineering or a comparable role, demonstrated through work, training, military service, or education.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with Thales CipherTrust Key Manager and CipherTrust Transparent Encryption.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using tools such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, VBScript, JavaScript, or similar.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) administering Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems, including troubleshooting, hardening, and tuning.
  • Proven expertise (5+ years) in encryption and tokenization technologies, with a focus on data protection methods.
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting or administering hardware security modules (HSMs) or security appliances.
  • Advanced knowledge of cryptographic protocols, algorithms, and key management technologies.
  • Familiarity with format-preserving encryption, tokenization, and transparent data encryption methods.
  • Experience executing infrastructure upgrades, applying security patches, and managing system and appliance versions.
  • Practical knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Demonstrated experience with application support and incident management in enterprise environments.
  • Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, complex enterprise security environments.
  • Experience leading technical product assessments, developing implementation strategies, and executing large-scale projects.
  • Proven history of mentoring and guiding less experienced team members.
  • Strong analytical thinking, with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced problem-solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or similar.
  • Cloud platform certifications like AZ-900, MS-900, or higher.
  • Experience designing and implementing synthetic monitoring transactions for application and infrastructure health.
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
  • Knowledge of the financial services or banking industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
