Dynamics 365 Business Analyst

Role: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Functional Business Analyst
Location: Remote (client office located in Davis, CA 95618)
Duration: 6+ months


Overview: We are looking for a strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 Functional Business Analyst to support a Higher Education digital transformation project. This person will act as the functional bridge between business stakeholders and the technical build team, driving requirements, design, and testing across the Dynamics platform.

Must Have: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Insights, Power Apps, Dataverse, JIRA, Microsoft Copilot

Key Responsibilities:

·         Lead discovery and solution design workshops with business stakeholders to define requirements and future state processes

·         Work across Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Insights (Data and Journeys), Customer Voice, Power Apps and Dataverse

·         Support integrations with Canvas LMS and payment systems, including data mapping specifications

·         Author and refine user stories and acceptance criteria through design, build, and test phases

·         Partner with client and development teams to evolve data models, process flows, and integration touchpoints

·         Write test scenarios and scripts tied to acceptance criteria, coordinate UAT with business users, triage defects, and make go or no go calls on functional readiness

Must Have Skills:

·         Proven experience as a functional BSA on Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementations

·         Hands on expertise with Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Insights, Customer Voice, Power Apps and Dataverse

·         Strong user story writing, acceptance criteria, and UAT coordination experience

·         Power user of JIRA (must have)

·         Ability to leverage AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot

·         Higher Education or public sector project experience is a plus
