Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Lead Software Engineer on behalf of our client in St. Louis, MO.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer to drive the design and development of next-generation software solutions and AI-powered frameworks. This hybrid role is ideal for a technology leader with expertise in modern Java-based applications, front-end technologies, APIs, and emerging AI technologies, including Agentic AI frameworks and large language models (LLMs). The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical and architectural skills who enjoys solving complex business challenges while mentoring engineering teams.


Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Agentic AI frameworks using MCP layers and LLM technologies.
• Build, enhance, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java, REST APIs, Angular, and React.
• Develop and maintain internal and external dashboards using Qlik Sense.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather functional and technical requirements.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize Qlik Sense environments and data sources.
• Manage dashboard deployments, user access, and security configurations.
• Evaluate and optimize platform performance and cluster health.
• Design and implement high-quality Data Marts that support enterprise products and analytics.
• Partner with Data Engineering teams to ensure data quality, scalability, and integrity.
• Interpret conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support application development.
• Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and process flowcharts to facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and engineering best practices across development teams.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Java application development and RESTful API design.
• Hands-on experience with Angular and React.
• Experience designing and implementing Agentic AI frameworks using MCP layers and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Strong analytical, architectural, and product design capabilities.
• Experience working with Qlik Sense administration and dashboard development.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, including entities, relationships, constraints, and data types.
• Experience designing and implementing Data Marts or enterprise data solutions.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building scalable enterprise platforms and cloud-native applications.
• Knowledge of modern AI architecture patterns and intelligent automation frameworks.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise security, governance, and deployment best practices.
