Project Manager

Description

Robert Half Technology is partnering with a client in the insurance and travel industry to identify an experienced Contract Technical Project Manager. This individual will play a key role in bringing structure, governance, and consistency to multiple enterprise technology initiatives while helping mature the organization's Project Management Office (PMO).

Duration: Long-term contract with potential to extend

Location: Hybrid in Bellevue, Washington

Pay rate: up to $70/hourly

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent technology initiatives from project initiation through delivery.
• Partner with business leaders, stakeholders, and technical teams to define project scope, priorities, timelines, and success metrics.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops to gather requirements, identify key stakeholders, and align project objectives.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships and foster collaboration across business and IT teams.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, risk logs, issue tracking, and executive status reporting.
• Establish lightweight project management processes, templates, and governance that improve consistency across the PMO.
• Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to leadership and project stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Engineers, Infrastructure teams, and other technical resources to support planning and execution.
• Help define business value and ROI during project initiation to ensure initiatives are aligned with organizational goals.
• Drive accountability for project deliverables, timelines, and decision-making across multiple workstreams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Project Management experience leading enterprise technology projects.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across both business and technical organizations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical resources, including Data Architects, Engineers, and Infrastructure teams.
• Experience developing project plans, governance processes, templates, and executive reporting.
• Strong understanding of project initiation, planning, risk management, and delivery methodologies.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to influence teams and drive alignment without direct authority.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience helping establish or mature PMO processes and project governance.
• Experience supporting enterprise technology, infrastructure, data, analytics, or application implementation projects.
• Experience working within the insurance, financial services, or travel industries is a plus.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
