AI and Automation Lead

This role sits within the IL AI Innovation & Governance Hub - a dedicated team embedded in TAL's Individual Life division, working directly alongside business teams across underwriting, customer service, product, marketing and distribution. The Hub's mission is to turn real operational challenges into working automation solutions, and as the Lead you'll be the engine that makes that happen. As the Lead, you'll own the Hub's delivery pipeline, develop a team of analysts, and be the day-to-day connection between business needs and technology delivery. You'll report to the Head of IL AI Innovation & Governance and have direct responsibility for a team of two analysts, with scope to grow as the Hub expands. This is a genuine player coach role: you'll be hands on building solutions in Microsoft Power Platform, AI Builder and Copilot Studio, while coaching your team and managing relationships with senior business stakeholders. In this role you will:

• Design and build automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, AI Builder and Copilot Studio - hands on, in production, not just in design
• Translate business challenges into well scoped, high impact automation opportunities by running discovery sessions with business teams across underwriting, customer service, product, marketing and distribution
• Lead end to end delivery of AI and automation initiatives, managing priorities, dependencies and risks across a concurrent pipeline
• Coach and develop a team of analysts, building capability and instilling good delivery practice so the team grows over time
• Partner with senior business stakeholders to manage expectations, communicate progress and navigate competing priorities
• Embed AI governance and compliance standards to ensure responsible, sustainable adoption in line with TAL's AI Implementation Policy
