Registrar Banner Functional Analyst
Duration: Contract through June 2027
Location: Remote
Overview
The University Registrar's Office is supporting several large-scale initiatives that are consuming internal resources. As a result, they need a consultant to provide day-to-day functional support while helping drive a student records reporting project.
A key initiative involves transitioning to a new, formalized National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) data extract process. This individual will work closely with Registrar stakeholders to support change management efforts, ensure data is entered correctly, and help users adapt to new processes that support the updated extract.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Registrar staff to support day-to-day functional operations.
- Assist with the transition to a new NSC reporting/data extract process.
- Drive change management efforts with end users and stakeholders.
- Meet with Registrar teams to understand current processes and provide guidance on data entry requirements.
- Develop user guides, training materials, process documentation, and other communication tools.
- Analyze student data and business processes to identify issues and support reporting needs.
- Work independently while proactively asking questions and gathering necessary information.
- Collaborate effectively within a shared document environment.
Required Qualifications
- Functional experience with Ellucian Banner.
- Understanding of Registrar operations and student records processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience creating documentation, user guides, and training materials.
- Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and work with data.
- Comfortable asking clarifying questions, capturing information accurately, and applying feedback appropriately.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) reporting.
- Experience with Argos reporting tools.
- Experience with other higher education reporting and analytics tools.
- Technical aptitude beyond functional Banner knowledge is a plus.
