Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Superintendent to lead and oversee all plumbing-related activities on commercial mechanical construction projects. This leadership role ensures quality workmanship, field coordination, safety, and schedule adherence for multi-million-dollar plumbing scopes on projects such as healthcare facilities, schools, office buildings, and industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise field plumbing crews, including journeymen, apprentices, and subcontractors.

  • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to ensure efficient workflow.

  • Plan and sequence work according to project schedules, ensuring deadlines and milestones are met.

  • Interpret and enforce project blueprints, specifications, and code compliance.

  • Conduct job site inspections for quality control, safety, and productivity.

  • Maintain accurate field documentation including timecards, daily reports, and material tracking.

  • Oversee material deliveries and inventory, ensuring tools and equipment are available as needed.

  • Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to team members.

  • Resolve field issues, RFIs, and unforeseen conflicts swiftly and effectively.

  • Enforce OSHA and company safety standards at all times.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7–10 years of plumbing experience in commercial mechanical construction.

  • Prior supervisory or foreman experience required.

  • Strong knowledge of commercial piping systems and plumbing codes.

  • Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and documents.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and field management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, or equivalent).

  • Valid Journeyman or Master Plumber License (state-specific).

  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Benefits:

  • Competitive pay based on experience.

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.

  • Paid time off and holiday pay.

  • Opportunities for professional development and certification assistance.
