Job Description

Pay - $50 - $55/hr


Title - Sr. Electrical Design Engineer


Day-to-Day Responsibilities



  • Design complex multi-layer digital PCBs including schematic capture and component selection.



  • Define high-speed digital interfaces, pin planning, and interface constraints.



  • Own digital subsystem architecture including clocking, resets, boot configuration, and GPIO.



  • Perform signal integrity analysis and collaborate with PCB layout engineers on routing constraints.



  • Lead board bring-up activities including power sequencing, clock validation, interface initialization, and debugging.



  • Use oscilloscopes and other high-speed lab equipment to troubleshoot hardware issues.



  • Create and execute validation and functional test plans.



  • Investigate root cause of hardware failures and drive corrective actions.



  • Support firmware and software integration efforts.



  • Assist with manufacturing readiness including DFM/DFT documentation and bring-up procedures.


Must Haves



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).



  • 5+ years of hands-on digital hardware design experience.



  • Experience owning a digital PCB from schematic through bring-up and validation.



  • Strong high-speed digital design experience.



  • Experience with high-speed memory and/or high-speed serial interfaces.



  • Strong lab debugging experience using high-speed test equipment.



  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools.



  • Ability to interpret datasheets and hardware reference manuals.



  • Strong preference for Siemens Xpedition EDM experience.


Nice to Haves



  • Processor, FPGA, or SoC board design experience.



  • Signal integrity simulation experience.



  • Embedded processor bring-up.



  • Experience partnering closely with firmware/software teams.



  • High-reliability or aerospace/defense hardware experience.



  • Python or scripting for automation and data analysis.
