Workday Integration Developer

Project Overview

The client is seeking an experienced Contract Workday Integration Developer to support enterprise initiatives across HR/Payroll, Finance, and Supply Chain Management (SCM). The role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining complex Workday integrations and custom applications. The successful candidate will work closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, Supply Chain, and technical teams to deliver scalable, reliable integration solutions within the Workday ecosystem.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Workday integrations using:
  • Workday Studio
  • Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)
  • Core Connectors
  • REST and SOAP APIs
  • Document Transformation and XSLT
• Integrate Workday with third-party systems, including payroll providers, benefits vendors, identity management platforms, and enterprise applications.
• Develop reusable integration components and standardized error-handling frameworks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration failures, data issues, and production support incidents.
• Collaborate with functional and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable integration solutions.
• Support Workday tenant migrations, deployments, and release testing activities.
• Maintain technical documentation, integration specifications, and support procedures.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Develop custom applications and user experiences using Workday Extend.
• Create and manage business process workflows using Workday Orchestrate to automate HR and Finance operations.

 

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing Workday integrations.
• Strong experience with:
  • Workday Studio
  • Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)
  • Core Connectors
  • Workday Web Services
  • XML, XSLT, XPath, and JSON
• Experience integrating Workday with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs.
• Strong understanding of one or more Workday functional areas, including:
  • Human Capital Management (HCM)
  • Payroll
  • Benefits
  • Financials
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
