Senior Network Engineer

We're seeking a highly experienced Senior Networks & Security Engineer with a strong background in Cisco Routing & Switching to join a large-scale enterprise technology environment. As a senior member of the infrastructure team, you'll be responsible for designing, supporting, optimising and securing critical network infrastructure across WAN, LAN, wireless, cloud and security platforms. The role requires deep technical expertise in Cisco networking, firewall technologies and enterprise-grade network operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the administration, support and enhancement of enterprise network infrastructure.
• Manage and troubleshoot Cisco WAN/LAN environments, firewalls, VPNs, wireless and cloud networking platforms.
• Drive network performance, capacity planning, security improvements and infrastructure upgrades.
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity and network resilience initiatives.
• Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to ensure high availability and SLA compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across networking and security domains.

Essential Requirements

• Extensive Cisco Network Routing & Switching experience (minimum 5+ years) with hands on expertise in designing, configuring, supporting and troubleshooting complex Cisco enterprise environments.
• Experience in supporting core networking and security technologies, including routers, switches and firewalls.
• Strong experience with: Cisco Routing & Switching (CCNP/CCIE level knowledge highly regarded)
• Strong experience with: Enterprise WAN/LAN environments
• Strong experience with: Microsoft Azure Networking & Security
• Strong experience with: Wireless Networks (802.11)
• Strong experience with: VPN and Firewall technologies
• Strong experience with: Network monitoring and analysis tools such as SolarWinds, NetFlow and Wireshark
• Strong experience with: Network security, capacity planning and infrastructure lifecycle management
