Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in high-quality distribution, is seeking a Operations Financial Controller to join their team. As a Operations Financial Controller, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting the Distribution Operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Contract Operations Financial Controller

Location: Kansas City, MO (on-site)

What's the Job?

  • Develop and manage budgets for the distribution center, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to assess the performance of distribution operations, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions.
  • Monitor distribution-related costs, analyze cost drivers, and implement cost-saving strategies to optimize the distribution process.
  • Collaborate with the distribution team to manage inventory levels effectively, minimizing carrying costs while ensuring product availability.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements for distribution operations.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in distribution or logistics.
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in SAP and/or INFOR WMS.
